Sound-absorbing and sound-insulating doors

The ability to dampen, reduce noise coming from e.g. speech, radio, TV and road traffic is tested according to standard ISO En 140:3:2006. The test standard used measures actual reduction in the frequency range 50-3150 Hz where an average reduction in the air sound Rw measured in the unit dB (decibel scale).

The normal range of the dB scale is measured between 0 dB (hearing threshold) to 130dB (pain threshold). The scale when measuring the sound is logarithmic, which means that a small increase in the number of dB corresponds to a reliable increase in the sound level, e.g. if a noise source increases by 3dB, this means that the sound level has doubled.

Depending on the customer's requirements, we have sound doors that meet different levels of sound insulation up to 50dB.
