Bulletproof & Bulletproof Doors
Since the late 1990s, standard EN 1522 has been applied throughout Europe, replacing all standards that were previously valid. EN 1522 applies to all bulletproof doors, windows, hatches and other bulletproof materials. The standard has seven levels and MaxiDoor has the possibility to manufacture type-approved products up to class EN 1522 FB6.

EN1063 is a safety glass standard created by the European Committee for standardisation for measuring protective strength bulletproof glass. It is often used in conjunction with EN1522 to form a ballistic classification system through which armoured vehicles and structures are tested and grades.
The protective resistance is controlled by the type of ammunition used. There are 7 main standards: BR1-BR7. To this can be added No Spalls (NS) which shows that the material does not split from the non-attack side when fired.
